Iowa Crisis Negotiator Association

About

The Iowa Crisis Negotiators Association (IACNA) was founded in the Spring of 2013 by a group of law enforcement and corrections personnel from local and state agencies in Iowa. The IACNA is currently incorporated as a non-profit organization under the laws of the State of Iowa (Iowa Code Section 504.822) and the Federal Tax Code of the United States of America (IRS 501(c)(3)). The IACNA is an educational based association for crisis negotiators and mental health personnel designed to provide networking, interaction, and training opportunities for these professionals in Iowa and others throughout our nation.

The IACNA will strive to improve the negotiation skills of our members by providing unique training opportunities such as the annual conference and other events when available. In 2018 Iowa Joined the National Association of Crisis Negotiators giving our members access to a nationwide network of resources and information.
